Rosemary D. Giannotti Saulino, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2018 surrounded by her family at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Gene Saulino. Rosemary was born in New Haven on October 16, 1935 and was the daughter of the late John and Madeline Vanacore Giannotti. She worked for many years as the regional secretary for The International Dairy Queen and also as a secretary for Sylvania Lighting. Rosemary enjoyed cooking, music, playing piano, vacationing, especially in Cape Cod. She loved her family unconditionally and her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mother of Michele (Saulino) Hackett. Grandmother of Jessica, Ashley (Daniel Dahlstrom), Brian and Marrissa Hackett. Great Grandmother of Anthony Hackett and the late Logan Charpentier. Sister of Jean Giannotti Crisanti. Aunt of Jean-Ann Crisanti Moore and Peter J. Crisanti. Sister-in-law of Michael Saulino and the late Ella (Saulino) Hanlon.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am on Thursday morning. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
