Thomas G. Vallone, 85, of East Haven formerly of Clark Avenue, North Haven passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of the late Marylou Nagy Vallone. Tom was born in New Haven on November 22, 1931 and was the son of the late Nicholas and Rose DelPrete Vallone. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Korean War. Thomas had worked for Pratt & Whitney for many years retiring as a Precision Sheet Metal Worker. He was a New York Yankees and UCONN basketball fan. Father of Regina (David) Longyear, Nicholas (Tina) Vallone and Kenneth (Meryl) Vallone. Grandfather of Erica (David) Zyjewski, Kimberly (Thomas) Goldbach, Brooke (Robert) Lorenti, Amanda (fiancé Michael Riley) Vallone, Michael, Zachary and Thomas Vallone. Great-Grandfather of Jaxson, Thomas and Ava. Brother of Clementina Avena and the late Mary Cimino and Alessio Vallone.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
