MaryAnn Carafeno Ferraiuolo, 80, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Anthony Ferraiuolo. MaryAnn was born in New Haven on September 19, 1936; daughter of the late Romeo and Willadean A. Cargill Carafeno; had worked for the former Mammoth Mart of North Haven for many years and had also worked for her family’s laundry businesses in the New Haven area. MaryAnn enjoyed her Oakview community and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Kenneth (Patricia) Ferraiuolo, Cindy (Mark DeBrino) Puccino, Laurie (Robert) Pettella and the late Robin Ferraiuolo. Grandmother of Kenny Sayers, Charla Puccino, Tiffany (Michael) Ferrara, Vincent (Whitney) Ferraiuolo, Gabrielle (John) Kaczor, Jacqueline Tanner, Dana (Pete) Tiroletto and the late Anthony Ferraiuolo. Great-Grandmother of Ryan, Devon, Serene and Antonio. Sister of Richard Carafeno and the late Donald Carafeno.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue on Tuesday morning, April 11th at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06450.
