Carol Frisa Mauriello, 66, of West Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital/Yale-New Haven with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Louis Mauriello, Jr. Carol was born in New Haven on December 13, 1950; daughter of the late I. Michael and Josephine Raccio Frisa; was a proud alumni of the former St. Mary High School, New Haven Class of 1968 and obtained an Associate degree in Cytotechnology from the former Quinnipiac College. Carol was part of the startup committee of the Our Lady of Victory Nursery School on the Hill where she continued to teach. She had worked in the Administrative office of both Regional Express and later for the Conn Warehouse & Logistics until her retirement in 2015. Carol enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all enjoyed her family whether it be relaxing with her husband on their deck enjoying a martini, being with her daughters and their husbands and especially being with her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Landa Mauriello-Vernon and Carra Conlan. Mother-in-law of Brent Vernon and Bill Conlan. Nana of Alea, Andrew and Adam Vernon, Evan and Brianna Conlan. Sister of Patricia Frisa-Miller. Sister-in-law of Barbara (Charles) Angelo and Richard Mauriello. Godmother of Lara (Chris) Battema, Gina Gentilesco and Nicolette Ruben. Aunt of Justin (Patricia) Angelo, Benjamin Ruben and Allegra Angelo. Lifelong friend of Marilyn (Michael) Milone and Karen (Tom) Sylvia. Special friend of Pat & Kathy Moran, Paul & Kathy Oberempt, Harry & Carol Bruneau. Also survived by many loving cousins, especially Frank & Gail Gentilesco, Marc & Laureen Ruben.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Tuesday morning at 9:45. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Bernadette Church, New Haven at 10:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
