Frank P. Iaccarino

Frank P. Iaccarino, 62, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 surrounded by his family at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven . He was the husband of Joan Wojciechowski Iaccarino. Frank was born in New Haven on September 25, 1950; was a 1968 North Haven High School graduate; served his country faithfully in the US Army as a PV2, E2 from June 1969 to October 1974 and had worked for AT&T for thirty-nine years until his retirement. Frank was a past officer of the AT&T Veterans; a car enthusiast, enjoyed NASCAR, boating and especially vacationing in Cape Cod. He is survived by his son Matthew Iaccarino; his mother Mary Valenza Iaccarino and her friend Philip Micalizzi; sister Lisa (Salvatore) Fazzino; brother David M. (Tina) Iaccarino; mother-in-law Cecilia Wojciechowski; nieces and nephews, Carley (Bret) Johnson, Kristin Iaccarino and her friend David Magnano, Marta (Craig) Kenney, Amy Fazzino; great nephews, Grady & Elijah Johnson. Predeceased by his father Francis P. Iaccarino, Sr. A special “Thank You” to all the doctors and nurses at the Smilow Cancer Hospital for all their heartfelt comfort, compassion, love and special care shown to Frank and his family.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, Friday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in The Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford at 10:00. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum, North Haven. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
